Prep upended by ND

The Fairfield Prep football team fell to Notre Dame of West Haven, 21-14, on Friday night at Alumni Field.
Green Knight quarterback Blake Rice threw a 29-yard touchdown pass to Chris Perry with just under nine minutes left to play, giving Notre Dame (3-5) the lead for good.
John Moten rushed for a pair of touchdowns (45 and 69 yards) for Prep (5-3), which lost its second in a row.
The Jesuits turned the ball over five times, including a fumble that ND’s Jamie Raymond returned 35 yards for a touchdown with 35 seconds remaining in the first half.
Fairfield Prep hosts Branford (4-4) Thursday at 6 p.m.
