Anyone who wants to help Fairfield Beach area homeowners affected by Hurricane Sandy will be meeting at Jennings Beach at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11.

Volunteers are asked to take masks, work gloves, rubber gloves, rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, trash bags, and leaf bags.

Groups will be send to damaged homes where owners have asked for assistance.

If you cannot make it, donations of gloves, masks, leaf bags, etc. can be made, as well as monetary donations to buy materials needed for cleanup.

Other supplies needed by residents will be posted this week and can be dropped off to the Jennings Beach parking lot that morning.

For information and to contact organizers visit the event’s page on Facebook.

Kate Boland wrote on Facebook that organizers hoped for 100 volunteers. More than 350 people have already signed up.
