Fairfield emergency officials released the following statement Sunday morning:
Contrary to rumors currently in circulation, commodities have been available in Fairfield throughout this event except where power outages have precluded their availability.
There were reports on the Internet early Sunday that there was no gasoline in Fairfield. Stations are busy, according to witnesses, but operating.
Long lines were visible late last night.
