A man arrested after a fight outside a Fairfield Beach bar Saturday night was carrying 300 steroid pills, according to Fairfield Police.
Police were summoned to the Sea Grape to investigate a fight and reports that a man had a gun. Police found two men fighting outside and separated them.
Because of the claims that a man was armed, police searched the men and vehicles. No weapons were found, police said.
While searching a car owned by 21-year-old Giancarlo Amado of Cleveland Street in Bridgeport, officers said they found marijuana, paraphernalia and 300 steroid pills.
Sgt. Suzanne Lussier said the investigation is continuing.
Amado was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession or sale of prescription drugs, possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and breach of peace. Bond was $5,500 for court Sept. 24.
Amado was found to be wanted by Clinton Police for failure to pay or plead.
The other man in the fight, 23-year-old Alex J. Nankervis of Reading Road in Trumbull, was charged with breach of peace and released on a promise to appear in court Sept. 25.
